I really liked the illustrations on this book because it was hand drawn not drawn online. This book is about a sick, weak boy named Jacques and his doctors told him to swim everyday to be stronger. When he first interacted with water, he fell in love with it. When he was a grown adult, he got into a car and was badly hurt. The doctors told him to wear braces but he refused. So he swam in the mediterranean sea everyday. So Cousteau’s friends gave him a pair of goggles, which changed his life. Later as time passed on, Jacques Cousteau made a first full length, full colour, underwater TV show using the camera he bought. He bought a boat for his tv show and for research. He went on a trip with his friends and when he came back, he realized that the mediterranean sea was polluted was so he created Cousteau society.
